Believers Church Diocese of Kathmandu distributed relief supplies in an earthquake-hit village in Nuwakot District on 23rd June 2015.
This village was severely affected in the earthquake. People are still struggling from the chilling cold and the lack of electricity. Children were in need of school supplies as their items were buried inside their houses. Seeing their need, the church decided to help them.
That day, 80 families received solar lights, blankets and two large tents. The church also distributed notebooks, rain coats and other needed supplies to 65 school going children.
“I really like my new books and pencils,” said Susmita, a twelve year old girl happily. “Now, I can use these supplies and study well.”
Believers Church is still working among the victims in affected areas. Read more about the church’s ongoing relief efforts in Nepal.
