Believers Church Diocese of Kathmandu did relief work in a remote village in Lalitpur District on 13th May 2015.
Some of the villagers were living in open as their houses had collapsed during the earthquake. So, a team of youth members and church social workers went to their village and provided tents to 10 most needy families among them. The church also provided shelter and food to few disabled people.
Later, they provided tea and snacks to 50 people and a cylinder of gas, 30 kg of rice, 1 kg salt and one blanket to a lady whose house was completely destroyed, and all the belongings were buried inside the house.
“We were saved luckily, but lost everything,” said Kala Sukupayo, a recipient. “Thank you so much for helping me”.
The church provided food, shelter and medical care to those who are affected in these recent earthquakes.
