On 18th June 2015, Believers Church Diocese of Kathmandu distributed relief supplies to 160 earthquake-hit families in a remote village in Bhaktapur District.
All the villagers have taken refuge in relief camps as their houses are fully or partially destroyed in the earthquake. But, there is a shortage for food and other supplies. So, the church organized this program to provide them with their needed supplies.
Each family was given with a food kit containing 30 kg rice, 1 kg salt and 1 liter oil. “Me and my family were struggling without food. I did not have money to afford sufficient supplies for them,” said Chandra Laxmi Maharajan, a recipient. “Thank you so much for providing us timely help.”
Believers Church is still continuing with its relief efforts in affected areas. Read more to know about the church’s ongoing relief efforts in Nepal.
