Believers Church Diocese of Kathmandu provided rice bags to 165 families in Lalitpur District on 7th May 2015.
These people were living in shelter tents as their houses were destroyed completely. They were hungry but had nothing to eat because everything was buried inside their destroyed houses. Seeing their need for supplies, the church held this distribution.
A team including Believers Church youth members, social workers and Sisters of Compassion went to their place and distributed 850 kg of rice among them.
“Our house was fully destroyed and we lost everything we owned. We don’t even have food to eat now,” said Nakkali Maharjan, a beneficiary. “Thank you so much for these supplies.”
