On 21st May 2015, Believers Church Diocese of Kathmandu helped 63 earthquake hit families in a remote village in Dhading District.
When the earthquake hit, over 700 people were killed in this district alone and almost all buildings and houses collapsed. People have taken shelter in open places due to the continuous tremors and they were in need of food and other basic supplies. Many villages have been reached by relief and rescue operations. But, extremely remote villages are isolated due to the broken transportation facilities.
Despite the difficulties, Believers Church was able to reach to this extremely remote village with relief aid and distributed 1890 kg of rice, 63 kg of salt and 63 kg of pulse among them.
“We were in need of food and you were the first to reach to us with help,” said one recipient. “Thank you so much for taking this much risk to reach to us with help.”
