Diocese of Jasidih Honors over 300 Widows on International Widows Day
June 25, 2016Over 300 widows were honored with gifts at two events organized by Believers Church Diocese of Jasidih to mark International Widows Day. The programs coordinated by a Women’s Fellowship team were held in two remote villages on 23rd and 25th June 2016 respectively.
Inaugurating the program in one of the villages, Mr. Alomgir Alom (MLA) thanked Believers Church for helping and caring for the widows and needy. “It is an obligation that we take care of the widows in our society,” Mr. Alomgir said.
A total of 309 poor widows were gifted with sarees by the church in commemoration of International Widows Day.
