Diocese of Imphal Gives Villagers Access to Safe Drinking Water Through BioSand Water Filters Distribution

Believers Church Diocese of Imphal distributed 37 BioSand filters in a remote village on 1st March 2015.

The main water source of people in this village is a river that flows nearby. It gets contaminated during monsoon with waste materials and mud and will not be safe for drinking. Still, they drink this same water as they do not have access to any other water sources. Seeing their situation, the church distributed these filters.

From now onwards they don’t have to worry about monsoon rain and can drink clean water all the time.
