Diocese of Gurdaspur Inaugurates Four Sanitation Facilities on World Toilet Day

Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Gurdaspur inaugurated four sanitation facilities on 19th November 2017, the World Toilet Day in a bid to raise awareness towards sanitation and use of toilets.

The newly built toilets were dedicated to poor families that could not afford to build a toilet by themselves. All the four families were happy to receive the sanitation and they thanked the church for offering them such a great help.

Raman, one of the beneficiaries, said, “Owing to the lack of a toilet, we were facing so many problems. We felt not safe to go out in the open to defecate, especially in the evening hours. We as a family thank the Church for being gracious to us and providing us the sanitation facility”.
