On 20th June 2014, the Diocese of Diphu inaugurated a tailoring institute for helpless women. Around 25 people attended the program and four women registered their names on that day itself.
The purpose of the institute was helping women to learn a skill, so that they could generate some income and support their family.
Rev. Fr. Anup inaugurated the center by cutting the ribbon. In his inaugural speech he said, “Believers Church has a vision of helping the poor, needy and underprivileged people so that they have their basic needs met. Starting this tailoring institute is one of the things we are doing to fulfill this goal.”
Through poverty alleviation programs, vocational training and adult literacy classes the church helps the poor and needy communities to improve their life.
