Believers Church Diocese of Dhemaji inaugurated eight new bore wells on World Water Day, 22nd March 2016.
In one village, people previously depended on a pond for their daily needs. They used to take bath and wash their clothes and vessels in that pond. And the same water they used for drinking and cooking. This unhealthy practice caused skin-related issues like itching and other sicknesses like diarrhea and stomach ache in them. Similarly, the other villages also were facing severe water scarcity.
So, the church installed these bore wells to provide them instant access to safe drinking water and to ensure their better health through it. Bishop B. Sunderraj was the chief guest. He inaugurated the bore wells and dedicated it for the villagers.
All the villagers were excited to have a reliable water source in their own village and thanked the church for providing it.
Through its Clean Water Project, Believers Church provides instant and easy access to safe drinking water to people who are struggling from water shortages.
