Believers Church Diocese of Dhemaji celebrated Independence Day with a flag hoisting and various cultural programs on 15th August 2014. Diocesan staff and their families gathered together for this occasion.
Rev. Fr. Paul hoisted the flag. “Even though we are celebrating the 68th Independence Day, our country is still under the slavery of corruption and terrorism,” said Rev. Fr. Paul in his speech. He also encouraged the gathering to pray for the country’s peace and liberty.
After the flag hoisting, the staff performed a skit raising the theme ‘United we stand, divided we fall’. Followed by this, a choreography performed by the Women’s Fellowship members and a quiz competition also was held. After, all actively involved in planting plant saplings to brighten the community.
Believers Church celebrated the Independence Day throughout all its dioceses by conducting various programs including cultural programs, social works and rallies.
