Diocese of Delhi Starts Tailoring Training Centre to Empower Women

On 23 July 2021, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Delhi inaugurated a new tailoring unit, as part of the newly launched initiative of Hope for Children “Hunar Vikas Karyakram” (skill development program), which is aimed at empowering families to be self-reliant.

The tailoring unit was inaugurated by the local Police officials, Mr. Satbir Singh, ASI and Head Constable Mr. Jai Prakash. Free notebooks also were distributed to underprivileged children, on the occasion.

Hope for Children’s new initiative “Hunar Vikas Karyakram” will help empower 20,000 Covid-hit families in 51 different locations by providing them with alternative livelihood training and the tools necessary to transform their own communities.
