Diocese of Colombo Cleans Flood Affected Wells
June 12, 2017Responding to the urgent need for cleaning drinking wells contaminated by flood waters and reducing water shortage faced by displaced people, Believers Church Diocese of Colombo undertook an initiative to clean contaminated wells in Kalutara District on 11th June 2017.
In coordination with the local area representatives the humanitarian assistance team identified 11 wells in this district and they successfully cleaned 5 wells that day.
The remaining wells will be cleaned in the next couple of days.
