Diocese of Chennai Provides Fresh Meals to 50 Families Amidst Covid-19 Crisis

On 10 June 2021, the St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church community in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Chennai distributed fresh meals among the needy at two villages in Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu.

Altogether, 50 families received fresh meals, including street dwellers, waste pickers, and daily wage laborers. The recipients were exceedingly happy to receive warm meals and they thanked the church for extending the help to them.

Subhashchandra said, “I am a poor man and I stay alone in a small broken hut. Due to Covid -19, no one gives me any work. Often I sleep on an empty stomach. I thank the church for providing me this fresh meal.”
