On 7th June 2014, the Diocese of Chennai inaugurated a new bore well for the villagers. More than 250 people were benefited from this new bore well.
The villagers were facing water scarcity for a long time. Most of the villagers are poor and illiterate; they could not afford bore wells on their own. Once or twice in the week they would get water delivered from a corporation, but the amount of water was limited.
The villagers expressed their gratitude and said, “Earlier, if we used all the water from the corporation, we would be waiting without any water and we used to borrow water from other houses. But now we are blessed with a 24/7 water facility at our location. We are so thankful.”
Through its clean water project Believers Church fights against waterborne diseases.
