Diocese of Chennai Distributes Fruits on International Day of Disabled

A Women’s Fellowship team and Sisters of Compassion in Believers Church Diocese of Chennai distributed fruits to 72 disabled peoples on 3rd December 2014 to mark the International Day of Disabled Persons.

One among them was an old lady, who was betrayed by her children and was thrown to the street. Her eye got infected, and because she did not have money to afford medical treatments, she lost the eye and was in a very pathetic condition She was so happy and thanked the sisters for showing her compassion when her family abandoned her.

The Church utilizes each opportunity and occasion to care and show compassion towards the neglected and needy people in the society.
