Believers Church Diocese of Chandigarh held income-generating gift distribution programs for widows on 15th and 17th of August 2014. Twenty sewing machines, items for three stationary shops, and two buffaloes were distributed during these programs.
Mr. Munawar Masih (Chairman, Punjab State Minorities Commission) and Mr. Madan Lal Jalalpur (M.L.A) were the chief guests of these programs. They distributed the gifts to 25 different widows.
“I was all alone after the death of my husband and financially I was struggling a lot,” said Sister Sweeta, a beneficiary. “Thank you so much for gifting me this sewing machine which will help me to support my family.” The other beneficiaries also were so happy and thanked the church for the great help provided for them.
