Believers Church Diocese of Bongaigaon inaugurated 45 sanitation facilities at seven remote villages of Assam on 19th November 2017, on the occasion of World Toilet Day, which is observed every year to inspire action to tackle the global sanitation crisis.
The toilets were constructed for underprivileged families that had no access to this basic facility.
The recipients thanked the church for constructing toilets freely for them.
One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Loken Koch, 58 years old, expressed his gratefulness saying, “I and my family are very much grateful to the church for constructing this toilet for us. I have been suffering from a urinary problem since 6 months. The treatment costs are so high and it made our life difficult. So to have a toilet of this kind was far beyond our imagination and budjet. Thanks once again for providing us with this facility”.
