The Covid-19 pandemic in Nepal has hit the poor and needy, especially those dependent on daily labor the hardest, leaving them to fend for themselves.
Realizing their struggle for sustenance, a local parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod held a dry ration distribution on 12 June 2021. The church distributed ration items to 18 families at two different locations of Morang District, East Nepal.
The beneficiaries were daily wage laborers and physically-challenged persons. Each family received a kit consisting of 25 kg rice, 1 kg salt, 1 kg dal, and oil. The beneficiaries were happy and thanked the church for extending help to them.
