On 5th November 2014, Believers Church Diocese of Birtamod inaugurated a new literacy class unit for unprivileged women in a rural village.
Due to poverty, these women are illiterate and they never got a chance to study. So, the Church inaugurated this unit to empower these women by providing them a chance to get education. Rev. Fr. Hemchandra inaugurated the unit and then distributed literacy books to women, who have joined for the classes.
13 women had enrolled for the classes that day and are happy for the initiative taken by the Church to provide them education.
Believers Church encourages the uneducated people to learn how to write and read and also motivates the literate people to teach others through its adult literacy and awareness programs.
