On 18th May 2015, Believers Church Diocese of Birtamod distributed relief supplies to earthquake victims in a remote village in Sankhuwasabha District.
This village is located in the Makalu Mountains. Almost 90% of the people got affected by the recent earthquakes; they lost their houses, crops and everything they owned. They needed food and shelter, but received no help from other relief operations due to the destroyed transportation facilities.
Despite all the difficulties, Believers Church’s relief team was able to reach to them with relief aid. They distributed tents, rice bags, charger lights, soaps and salt to 18 families. In addition, they gave 20 dozen notebooks, 10 dozen pens and 6 packets of pencils to a Government Primary School.
“We haven’t received any help from anyone so far,” said Mr. Tek Bahadur. “Thank you so much for reaching to us with these items.”
Believers Church is working among the earthquake victims in different places to reach to them with timely relief and help.
