Diocese of Bilaspur Opens a Tailoring Center to Empower Women through Vocational Training

Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Bilaspur opened a new tailoring training center in Korba district of Chhattisgarh on 3 August 2021.

This tailoring center has been set up by Hope for Children, a community development program of Believers Eastern Church, with the objective to empower women through skill development, thereby enabling them to set up their own business and start earning a living.

Fifteen trainees hailing from nearby villages in the district have been enrolled for the vocational training.

“My husband is an alcoholic and due to his addiction, I am not able to save even a penny for my family. I want to learn stitching and open a tailoring center in the coming days”, said Priyanka, one of the trainees.
