Diocese of Bilaspur Distributes Income-Generating Gifts on International Widow’s Day

On International Widow’s Day, 26th June 2015, Believers Church Diocese of Bilaspur organized an income-generating gift distribution program.

This program was held in a remote village. The church distributed 27 sewing machines, three handcarts, seven bundles of tin sheets (each containing eight pieces) and five kits of fancy shop items to the neediest widows there.

“Thank you so much for gifting with me with this sewing machine,” said Kumar Chalki, a recipient. “From now onwards, I can earn an income by stitching clothes for others.”

The church utilized the occasion of International Widow’s Day to empower the neglected widows in different villages and communities.
