Diocese of Bengaluru Raises Awareness on International Widows Day
June 25, 2014On 25th June 2014, the Diocese of Bengaluru held a sari distribution program for widows to mark International Widows Day. Altogether 15 widows received saris on that day.
Mrs. Manoranjini (District Secretary) was the chief guest of the program. In her inaugural speech she talked about different types of problems widows face in the society.
The women were very happy and thanked the church leaders. One lady said, “The gift was given with love and care, I feel wonderful and truly blessed, and it makes me happy.”
On this International Widows Day Believers Church conducted similar programs throughout its dioceses.
