Diocese of Bastar Extends Help to Destitute Widows

In an effort to help destitute widows whose lives have been adversely affected by the pandemic, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Bastar held relief supply distributions at two remote villages in Bastar District on 17 June 2021.

The Diocesan team visited the villages and distributed relief kits to 20 poor and destitute widows. Each kit consisted of cooking oil, spices powder and 5 kgs of essential vegetables.

Manso, a 35-year-old widow, said “Due to the lockdown I was struggling very much to make ends meet. I’m thankful to the church for providing this help for our survival”.
