The Diocese of Agartala inaugurated 50 new toilets for villagers in a certain area who didn’t have proper sanitation facilities. The inauguration took place in the month of May 2014 and was part of a project targeting the construction of 70 toilets.
The recipients didn’t previously have proper sanitation facilities. They usually depended on the surrounding paddy fields or roadsides to relieve themselves. Due to this unhygienic practice, they were susceptible to diseases and their safety was at risk. Under these conditions Believers Church took the initiative to construct toilets for the villagers.
The sanitation project provides toilets to needy communities, promoting both health and dignity.
