Believers Church Dimapur Diocese observed International Workers’ Day on 1st May 2014. The program was conducted under a flyover bridge and many people attended the program.
Rev. Fr. Kasthang addressed the crowd and talked to them about the importance of first aid and health care. He told them that everybody should have a job for survival and be faithful in service. Women’s Fellowship members distributed bandages to laborers that needed them.
“I have been here for more than nine years working as a daily laborer,” said Vijay, “but no one ever told me the rights of a laborer. Now I understood the importance of Labor Day.”
This is one of many examples of how the church helps the poor and needy.
