Dhemaji Women’s Fellowship Cleans Hospital on World Tuberculosis Day

The Believers Church Dhemaji Women’s Fellowship team organized a program to recognize World Tuberculosis Day on 24th March 2012 at Care Hospital in Dhemaji. Both the Women’s Fellowship team and a group of Minor Seminary students participated in the program.

The team started by visiting the patients in the hospital. They encouraged the sick by giving each one a packet of biscuits and praying for them. Additionally, the women did social work inside the hospital by mopping the floors and cleaning the patient’s tables, windows, doors and even the hospital bathrooms.

The program made the patients and their attendants very happy. The nurse supervisor, Satiya Singh, spoke of the fact that many people will not visit or clean the hospital as they consider it unclean. She thanked the Women’s Fellowship team for taking initiative to visit the patients.
