Destitute Widows Receive Sewing Machines in Diocese of Patna

Believers Church Diocese of Patna organized a sewing machine distribution program on 13th October 2017.

The diocese distributed sewing machines to six destitute widows who were identified and selected through the help of Mahila Help Line of Bihar Government. The gift will help them earn a steady income and ultimately lift them out of poverty.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, Mrs. Parmila Kumari (Director of Mahila Helpline) appreciated the endeavor of Believers Church and stated that the initiative would help in the empowerment of women. She added “No country can progress towards development, unless women, who constitute half of the population of each country, are empowered”.
