Minor Seminary students in Gurgaon, Delhi volunteered for a Pulse Polio Eradication Campaign held from 8th-11th November 2009.
Dr. Vishesh Kumar of the World Health Organization (WHO) visited the seminary campus to instruct students for the task. The young men and women were divided into several teams and sent in different directions, each accompanied by a medical supervisor.
In just four days, the teams immunized over 4,000 children against the polio virus. Locals who were unaware of the issue learned how polio can disable children and paralyze the elderly.
This is one of the many ways Believers Church is helping develop communities throughout South Asia.
