January 2013 has been painfully cold for North India’s population. More than 170 people have died from the frigid temperatures. Delhi experienced its coldest day in 44 years.
Responding to the extreme weather, Believers Church Delhi Diocese gave blankets to those without shelter. Recipients included people nearly freezing in slums, government hospital verandas and roadsides.
This distribution is typical of the church’s relief programs. Believers Church regularly reaches out to those suffering from cold, flooding, earthquakes and other natural calamities.
