On 28th March, Believers Church Delhi Diocese organized a free eye checkup camp for Bridge of Hope children. The checkup mainly targeted children below the age of 15 years old, and more than 300 children attend the camp. Children received eye glasses and the church offered sponsorship to the children who need surgery.
The objective of the camp was to bring awareness and help those children, who are economically poor. The program was conducted with the help of Dr. Shroff Eye Hospital, Ghaziabad.
Shri. Salamat Mia, Chairman and chief Editor of Yug Karwat, was the chief guest of the event. He appreciated the selfless social and developmental work of the church to help and uplift the underprivileged people of the society.
Bishop Dr. Simon John, in his presidential speech said that, “Believers Church is determined to help the poor and the needy in the society. Children are our national heritage and we are in the process of making a healthy India by helping these children.”
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 41% of Children below 18 years of age suffer from eye related problems that need proper treatment and are not able to get the same due to some reasons. Believers Church conducts free eye checkup camps among children to eradicate blindness.
