Believers Church Delhi Diocese held medical camps in 11 Bridge of Hope centers from 1st-17th October, 2012.
The purpose of these medical camps was to keep communities healthy by providing free medical checkups and medicine to people in need. Dr. Pankaj (MD) and Dr. Bani (MD) contributed their expertise for the camps.
Before each camp started, the staff went door-to-door announcing the medical program. This informed community members in each place about the opportunity to come and receive free medical treatment.
Children, parents, pregnant women and others afflicted with health problems attended the camp. The doctors diagnosed different diseases including cough and cold, diarrhea, malaria, malnutrition, fever and headache.
Various problems and responses surfaced in the different locations. Many people benefited during the camps were very poor and could not easily go to a hospital or clinic.
Pregnant women were especially thankful to Believers Church for the free checkups and medicine. Participants were very happy and said, “The medicine which you have provided would cost much if we purchased it at the shop. Thank you that you are providing freely.”
Believers Church strongly believes that these kind of awareness and medical camps can reduce the suffering caused by various diseases.
In total, around 4,150 people received checkups during the camps. People gave positive feedback and were very thankful to Believers Church.
