On 18th July, 125 Sisters of Compassion were dedicated at Believers Church Synod Secretariat to serve the suffering. These sisters are dedicating themselves to selflessly care for leprosy patients, widows, orphans and slum-dwellers.
The Commissioning Service was officiated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Samuel Matthew. He encouraged the commissioned sisters saying “It is only through God’s grace and power by which we serve the humanity. You sisters are really going to make a great impact on society through your services and life style.”
Believers Church hopes to expand the Sisters of Compassion order to include more than 2,000 sisters in developing nations.
