There are three Believers English Schools functioning under the Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod, Nepal. Phulgachhi Believers English School is one of the schools located in the District of Jhapa. Started nearly 17 years ago, the school currently has a total of 175 children receiving basic education.
As part of its service to the poor, the school has been providing education to poor and underprivileged children for a minimal fee and free scholarships depending on the condition of children.
As the school had been operating under a temporary shelter which used to leak during the monsoon season, there was an urgent need for new classrooms.
By God’s grace and with church’s help, within four months new classrooms were successfully constructed and they were dedicated on 5 August 2022 with the prayer and blessings of H.G. Titus Mor Osthathiose Episcopa.
Speaking at the dedication service, Archbishop H.G. Titus Mor Osthathiose Episcopa said, “God’s command and desire is that we should serve the poor, needy, helpless, downtrodden, the orphans and the widows in our society. We should continue to do good works selflessly.”
The students and their parents are happy and excited to have the beautiful classrooms.
