Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu distributed essential supplies to needy families in a remote, hilly village in Sindhupalchok district on 7 July 2021.
The distribution was carried out by the local parish priest who distributed essential commodities to 16 families that have been having a hard time to sustain themselves due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Each family received a sack of 30 kg rice, 1 litre oil, 1 kg lentils, and 1 kg salt.
The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the church for the assistance.
“Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, many of us have become jobless and we are struggling to meet our basic needs. We are so thankful to you for showing love and compassion and helping us with rations”, said Thuli Maya.
