On 21st May 2013, a team of Sisters of Compassion and Women’s Fellowship members from Chennai Diocese brought help and encouragement to a slum. Some of them cleaned the surroundings. Others cut the nails of children and elderly people living in the slum. Later, they prayed for people and taught songs to the kids.
The sisters’ service brought many slum dwellers to tears. “These young women committed their lives to serve us,” they said. “May God bless them.”
This is just one example of how Sisters of Compassion bring help and hope to the most neglected sections of society.
