Believers Church Himachal Pradesh conducted poverty alleviation programs on the 26th and 28th of August in two different places.
On the 26th, Mr. Sunder Singh Thakur (Congress state secretary) was invited as the chief guest. He said, “Believers Church is playing a vital role in present society to uplift the downtrodden by giving them gifts which they can use for their daily needs as well as for the survival of their family.”
More than 87 families benefited. They received two blankets, fifty sewing machines, two paddle sewing machines, seven border machines, one spray pump, four tool kits, four stole machines, twelve knitting machines, one pico machine and four chickens.
Then on the 28th, Mr. Bhupesh Dhiman (Gram Panchyat) was invited as the chief guest. Gifts were distributed to 75 families. They received sixty sewing machines, twelve blankets and three spray machines.
Rakhela said, “I am very thankful to Believers Church because they gave me a soft blanket as a beautiful gift. For the last couple of months, I was collecting money to buy one blanket. But I could not save the money and today as I receive this blanket from the community development project, I thank God.”
Believers Church conducts such community development programs in many villages by selecting the appropriate beneficiaries.
