A Community Development Program was held in Believers Church Kolkata Diocese on 8th June.
The recipients were of underprivileged background. They work for daily wages and hardly earn 50 rupees a day. 29 families were benefited. They were given tin pieces, goats, cows, sewing machines, van rickshaws, piglets, bicycles and chickens. These gifts will help the people stand on their feet.
Bimal Nandi 36 yrs received one bundle of tin sheet. He said, ”Because of poverty I could not cover my mud hut for long years, but now I will be using this tin sheets. I wholeheartedly thank Believers Church for their free gift towards my family.”
Believers Church conducts such community development programs in many villages by selecting the appropriate beneficiaries.
