Believers Church Delhi Diocese held a community development program on the 5th of October.
More than 400 community members gathered for the event and 142 families were given life sustaining tools. These tools included cycle rickshaws, vegetable carts, sewing machines and momo sets. These were provided to needy families with the objective of helping them became self reliant in earning their livelihood.
Shri. Devendra Yadav (MLA) and Shri. Gulab Singh Rathore (Councilor) were invited as the chief guests. Rev.Fr. Daniel Varghese in his speech talked about how Believers Church has started several programs for the well being of the society and community development program being one of major ones.
Sangeetha a beneficiary said,“I was not fortunate enough to get an education due to which I did not get a job. Now I have a sewing machine through which I can stitch clothes and earn money through my hard work. Thank you Believers Church.”
Radha Krishan said,“I could never afford a rickshaw. Believers Church has given me a big blessing to earn money and support my family.”
This distribution is just one example of Believers Church’s work in undeveloped regions. The church gives thousands of poverty-alleviating gifts to needy communities each year.
