Community of Adivasi and Assamese People Receives BioSand Filters

A BioSand water filter distribution program was held by Believers Church Tinsukia Diocese on the 25th of July.

The village where the distribution took place consists of both Adivasi and Assamese people. They are farmers and daily laborers. They used to struggle to get pure drinking water and were often affected with waterborne diseases.

After a survey of the region, it was found that the water here contained iron and sand. Therefore Believers Church decided to supply them with BioSand water filters. Around 28 water filters were distributed free of cost to families in need.

Bro. Rajendra explained to the families what the filters were and how to use them. More than 50 villagers attended the program.

Pure drinking water significantly improves the health of a community. Believers Church has distributed thousands of BioSand water filters free of cost to the poor and needy.
