Church Team Provides Free Medical Care to Island Community
August 14, 2012A team of Believers Church Sisters of Compassion arranged a medical camp on an island in Kolkata Diocese on 14th August 2012. 85 families received care through the camp.
Dr. Swadesh, a Believers Church member, and three nurses from his nursing home offered their medical services to the villagers. A local Bridge of Hope center took the camp as an opportunity to distribute multivitamins to pregnant mothers and vitamin A and Albendazole tablets to children.
Working among many needy communities that lack medical facilities, Believers Church provides free healthcare to thousands of people each year.
