On 1st December 2010, Believers Church Gujarat Diocese took the initiative to conduct an AIDS rally. Eighty-five people participated in the rally, including Minor Seminary students, office staff, and other church workers from central Gujarat.
The Local Municipal Councillor was also invited to be part of the event.
The rally started with a prayer from Rev. Fr. William at 10 AM. The participants walked for five kilometers through Petlad city carrying placards that had AIDS awareness slogans written on them. They also distributed AIDS awareness pamphlets to people.
The townspeople were grateful for the rally. At the end of the march, the local Karma Construction Company invited all the participants for light food and tea.
Awareness about AIDS and other social issues is the key to prevention. Believers Church is working hard throughout South Asia to educate communities.
