Children of Brick Kiln Workers Receive Educational Aid on World Day Against Child Labor

In observation of World Day Against Child Labor Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Lucknow distributed educational supplies to children of brick kiln workers on 12 June 2019.

This year the World Day Against Child Labor was celebrated around the globe under the theme ‘Children shouldn’t work in fields, but on dreams’.

Various parishes of the diocese also took out rallies to raise awareness on the ill effects of child labor and the importance of education for children.

Today 152 million children are still in child labor. While various governmental agencies and NGOs are working to end child labor, Believers Eastern Church is doing all it can to help build a better future for children living in poverty. Through its child care initiative more than 70,000 underprivileged children are helped with education, medical care and school supplies to equip them for a brighter tomorrow.
