Chennai Diocese Prepares Students for Career Decisions

Believers Church Chennai Diocese held a retreat on 8th June 2013 for students nearing the completion of their school studies. Three hundred thirty-two youths attended.

Bishop Dr. Samuel Mathew inaugurated the event by lighting the traditional lamp. Later, he taught a session on career guidance. “Students are our tomorrow, our future,” the bishop said. He shared the importance of character and counseled the youths about how to select their streams of study and careers.

Chief guest Mr. Manoj Kumar M.Sc., PhD, shared about the various career options available. He also answered the students’ practical questions about colleges and admission procedures. The students received valuable insight on career options in fields such as medicine and engineering.

Along with teaching sessions, youths enjoyed games, dance performances and group discussions.

Believers Church is helping to launch thousands of youths into meaningful professions that will positively impact society.
