Chennai Archdiocese Holds Youth Retreat

Under the auspices of His Grace Dr. Samuel Mor Theophilus Episcopa, Believers Eastern Church Archdiocese of Chennai held a Youth Retreat at St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church from October 3-5, 2022.

Around 150 young people from two districts of Tamil Nadu attended the three-day retreat. The theme of the youth retreat was “New Journey” based on Psalm 32:8.

The retreat kicked off with a campfire where young people were given an opportunity to exhibit their talents through various dances.

During the course of three days, the priests of the church gave inspiring spiritual messages on various topics applicable to the daily lives of young people. Besides teaching sessions, fun games, breakout sessions, Bible quizzes and many other programs were organized for the youth.

The Youth retreat concluded on Sunday with the celebration of Divine Liturgy.

Jaison, one of the participants, said, “I am a 10th grade student. I feel so glad and blessed to have attended the youth retreat. I could learn a lot, make new friends and enjoy God’s presence”.
