Believers Church Diocese of Kathmandu organized a free medical camp for carpet and garment factory workers on Founder’s Day, 8th March 2016.
These people were suffering from common illness like cough, cold, itching, diarrhea and stomach ache. But, they never went to hospital or seek any medical help due to their financial problems. So, the church organized this camp to provide them access to free medical help.
155 factory workers and their children received free medical checkups, treatments and medicines. “My child was suffering from cough, cold and fever for the past two weeks. I did not have money to take her to hospital,” said Hir Lama, one worker. “The doctor checked her and provided some medicines. Thank you so much for conducting this camp.”
Believers Church utilized the occasion of Founder’s Day to help the poor and destitute and to show compassion to them.
