One of the most impactful moments at this week’s Believers Youth Festival? The workshops and group discussions! It’s where young people come together to open their hearts, share their journey, and build meaningful connections. This provides a space for youth to voice their thoughts on life’s challenges, hopes, and ambitions, strengthen their faith, make decisions grounded in Christ, and overcome life’s pressures with a renewed sense of purpose.

Believers Youth Festival – World Mental Health Day Special!

Today, on World Mental Health Day, Believers Youth, in collaboration with NCCI, hosted a powerful event centered around the topic ‘Mental Health in the Age of Anxiety’.

H.H. Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan inspired us with his presidential address, reminding us of the importance of mental well-being.

We were honored to have H.G. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Yulios, Metropolitan of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church and NCC President, deliver the inaugural address, highlighting the importance of mental well-being in today’s challenging world.

A special shoutout to Ms. Smriti Priyansha, NCCI Youth Secretary, for delivering a stirring keynote, emphasizing the role of church-driven initiatives in promoting mental health awareness.

H.E. Martin Mor Aprem Episcopa, Archbishop of the Chennai Archdiocese, Believers Youth representatives, and other dignitaries were also present on this significant occasion.

Starting the Day with Prayer and Purpose!

Prayer is the spiritual oxygen for every Christian. Today, the vibrant youth at the Believers Youth Festival began their day early in the morning by seeking God’s guidance, protection, and strength for the day ahead.

Divided into four dynamic teams, one team embarked on a prayer walk, lifting the needs of the church and the world, another reflected on Christ’s sacrifice through the ‘Way of the Cross’, a third team gathered in the Cathedral for powerful prayer while the fourth team joyfully took on a clean-up mission, living the truth that “cleanliness is next to godliness.” Together, they’re not just transforming their day—they’re impacting the world around them!

Youth Unite Against Drugs!

This afternoon, a powerful step was taken in the fight against drugs as Shri. Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Honorable Member of Parliament from Thiruvananthapuram, inaugurated the Yearlong Anti-Drugs Campaign!

With Shri Anto Antony, Honorable MP, H.E. Titus Mor Osthathiose Episcopa, Archbishop of the Kathmandu Archdiocese, and Believers Youth representatives, the event kicked off with a burst of energy! The legendary musician, Shri Stephen Devassy, electrified the crowd with an unforgettable performance!

In his inspiring presidential address, H.H. Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan called on all to join hands in this critical mission.

Inspiring the youth to act against drug use, Shri. Dr. Shashi Tharoor urged them to take on leadership roles and contribute to nation-building. He encouraged them to seek opportunities to develop leadership qualities and help build a better nation.

Grand Kickoff: Inaugural Ceremony of Youth Festival 2024

The much-anticipated Youth Festival was officially inaugurated today with the lighting of the lamp by H.H. Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan, alongside esteemed dignitaries, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration of faith, fellowship, and growth.

H.E. Joshua Mor Barnabas Episcopa, Secretary to the Holy Synod, delivered the presidential address, followed by an inaugural speech from His Holiness where he unveiled the exciting theme of the festival. The event was further elevated by world-renowned musician Shri Stephen Devassy, who offered his felicitations.

A special moment was dedicated to the memory of the beloved reposed Metropolitan Athanasius Yohan I, whose vision sparked the creation of this incredible Youth Festival. His dream of uniting the youth—the future leaders of the Holy Church—on a journey of fellowship, growth, and learning continues to inspire.

Dn. Fr. Paul K Samuel, Executive Secretary of the Department of Youth, gave a heartfelt talk about the Metropolitan’s remarkable vision, deeply moving the attendees. They were further moved as they watched his life story unfold in a touching video biography.

The moment was made even more special as H.H. Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan, along with archbishops, bishops, and BY representatives, honored his memory with floral tributes, celebrating the profound impact he had on the church and world.

The Grand Rally: Believers Youth Festival 2024

This morning, the Believers Youth Festival kicked off with an electrifying grand rally that brought faith, culture, and unity to life! Young people from our dioceses around the world came together and lit up the streets in vibrant traditional outfits, while folk instruments filled the air with lively rhythms as they danced joyfully. Their performances were a beautiful display of unity in diversity, with colors and cultures blending in harmony, making this rally truly special.

The rally hits its high point with the grand flag-hoisting by H.H. Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan, officially launching the most-anticipated festival of the year!

Believers Youth Festival Kicks Off with a Powerful Opening Session!

As participants continue to arrive at the Church’s global headquarters, those already here were blessed with an inspiring evening of prayer, worship, and fellowship.

The session began with adoration of the Holy Trinity, followed by the closing of the 40-day chain prayer led by H.E. Joshua Mor Barnabas Episcopa. The atmosphere was electrified by the band’s uplifting music, setting the tone for the days ahead.

Dn. Fr. Paul K Samuel, Executive Secretary of the Department of Youth, provided a warm orientation to the participants, and the evening concluded with a heartfelt prayer by H.H. Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan. The night ended with a joyful fellowship dinner, bringing everyone together.
