Believers Church Tinsukia Diocese inaugurated a new Bridge of Hope center on the 25th of September.
Mr. Rajendra Prasad Singh (MLA and Parliament Secretary) was invited as the chief guest. He was welcomed by a dance performed by children of a local Believers Church.
Mr. Rajendra Prasad talked about how Bridge of Hope is helpful for students who are from poor families and whose parents are illiterate. He also said that Bridge of Hope will be an instrument in decreasing the rate of drop outs in schools. He concluded his speech by encouraging those who were more fortunate to spare money for the underprivileged.
Manju, mother of Pranami, described how she was struggling after the death of her husband to care for her daughter. She always dreamed of sending her daughter for tuition since she herself is illiterate, but she could not afford to do so. Now since her daughter will receive free tutoring in the new Bridge of Hope center, she is very happy as her dream has come true.
In the end, impoverished children were gifted with Bridge of Hope school bags. Believers Church through its Bridge of Hope centers is able to bring hope to thousands of children providing them with nutritious food, education and regular medical checkups.
