Believers Church Udaipur Diocese inaugurated a new Bridge of Hope center for a remote village in Rajasthan on the 24th of August.
The village has more than 400 children. Most of the villagers are farmers while others are daily wage earners and many families live under the poverty line. Thus realizing that a Bridge of Hope Center would really make a difference, Udaipur Diocese has opened one.
Mr. Bansilal Damor (Sarpanch) and Mr.Dinesh Damor (Ward Member) were invited as the chief guests. In his speech Mr.Bansilal Damor said, “I am thankful to Believers Church and its Metropolitan Dr. K.P. Yohannan for his vision. If children are not gaining knowledge then the future of our nation is also going to be dark as the future lies in the hands of today’s children. But I am sure through the development of the Bridge of Hope center, many children are going to become doctors, engineers and national leaders.”
Jagdeesh is studying in 7th standard. His mother died due to severe fever. He now has the responsibility to take care of his siblings. Along with his household work, he tries to go to school as well. He said “Thank you for giving me admission here, I would like to study well and help my father and siblings by doing a government job. I am sure Bridge of Hope will help me to fulfill my dreams.”
Believers Church through its Bridge of Hope centers provides education, nutritious meals and regular medical checkups to more than 67,000 children.
